Abstract:

This is the second wave of the Community Oil Spill Survey (COSS). The data was collected in October 2010, six months out from the beginning of the oil spill. Conducted by Louisiana State University's Public Policy Research Lab, the COSS is a cross-sectional telephone survey of households randomly drawn from a listed sample of those living in the coastal zip codes of Plaquemines, Lafourche, and Terrebonne Parishes and the City of Grand Isle in Louisiana.

Purpose:

Assessing social impacts of the oil spill in affected communities in southeast Louisiana.

Data Parameters and Units:

The COSS is a cross-sectional telephone survey of households randomly drawn from a listed sample of those living in the coastal zip codes of Plaquemines, Lafourche, and Terrebonne Parishes and the City of Grand Isle in Louisiana.
