Abstract:

Distribution map of ecological parameters from water samples along a transect in upper Breton Sound estuary, two additional flow-through transects are planned to collect water samples for nutrient/hydrocarbon analysis, light attenuation coefficient, and measure of phytoplankton production. The purpose of the dataset was to continue an outgoing monthly water quality sampling in Breton Sound estuary to analyze new and historical data to determine spatial and temporal patterns of nutrients, sediments, salinity and chlorophyll a to correlate factors influencing aquatic primary production (light and nutrient concentrations) to determine the impact of different oil concentrations on aquatic primary productivity in Breton Sound estuary
