Abstract:

This data set contains data from 11 surveys between August and October of 2010 (2010-08-18 - 2010-10-27) along the ship channel of Mobile Bay, Alabama. Each survey included CTD casting at 16 stations along the ship channel between the mouth of Mobile Bay and the Mobile State Dock. Note: no station positions are included for these data.

Data Parameters and Units:

Each folder (YYYYMMDD) has 16 text files (CTD casting data at each station) and one PDF file (plots of vertical profiles). The file name of each text file shows the station name, and the map for the station location. Each text file has 15 columns for I (serial number), d (depth, m), S (salinity, PSU), T (temperature, degree C), sigma-t (kg/m^3), p (pressure, db), DO (dissolved oxygen, mg/l), DOS (saturated dissolved oxygen concentration, %), pH, cd (conductivity, 10*4 uS/cm), sc (specific conductance, 10*4 uS/cm), Attnu (attenuation, 1/m), Fluo (fluorescence, mg/m^3)^, CDOM (mg/m^3), and PAR.
