Abstract:

Photocatalysis phenomena in TiO2 have been intensively explored for its potential application in envriomental remediation. We have synthesized novel Ag-nanoparticles-modified bamboo-type TiO2 nanotube arrays for improved photocatalytic degradation of organics in aqueous solution. To investigate morphology, structure, composition, and photocatalytic degradation efficiency of the as-prepared nanomaterials, we have obtained electron microscopy images, X-ray diffraction (XRD) data, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) data, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) data, and UV-Vis spectroscopy data.

Purpose:

Data were obtained to investigate morphology/structure and composition of nanomaterials synthesized in the project, and evaluate photocatalytic effect of nanomaterials on degradation of organic residues.

Data Parameters and Units:

1. XRD X-ray Diffraction: Degrees, Intensity (a.u.). 2. SEM Scanning Electron Microscope: images with microscope parameters. 3. UV-vis Ultraviolet visible spectroscopy: nanoparticle descriptions [SWTiO2, SWTiO2Ag, BTTiO2, BTTiO2Ag, 0.1s/0.3s, 0.5s/0.1.5s, 1s/3s], time (seconds), Wavelength (nm), Absorbance. Concentration (mol/l), kt (C0-C)/C0. 4. EDX Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy: Energy (keV kiloelectron Volts), Counts. 5. XPS X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy for AgPeak and TiO2-Ag: Kinetic Energy(eV), Binding Energy(eV), Intensity (Counts), Intensity (Counts/sec), Transmission Value. 6. TEM transmission electron microscopy: images with microscope parameters.
