Abstract:

This dataset includes δ15N and δ13C ratios of bottlenose dolphins.

Purpose:

These data allowed analyses that would lead to a description of fine-scale population structure and habitat utilization of bottlenose dolphins.

Data Parameters and Units:

This dataset gives collection location and isotopic values for 64 individual dolphins collected between November 2010 and April 2011. Sample Location (Ostrom lab - Michigan State University), first ID, second ID, date (MM/DD/YYYY), season (spring, summer, fall, winter), sampling area (Santa Rosa Sound, Pensacola Bay, Destin Pass, West Choctaw Bay), latitude (decimal degrees), longitude (decimal degrees), carbon, nitrogen.
