Abstract:

Field biologists collected environmental samples concurrent with efforts to collect remote biopsy samples from common bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus). Environmental water quality measurements were collected at each biopsy sample collection location, mostly in the waters offshore of Pascagoula, Mississippi. Parameters include salinity, sea surface temperature, and water depth.

To characterize the water quality parameters at locations where we collected remote biopsy samples.

Methods:

Data were collected using a GPS locator, a boat depth finder, and a YSI handheld probe.
