Abstract:

The dataset contains exact mass-to-charge ratio (m/z) and monoisotopic intensities of the organics characterized in the water phase partitioning from the in situ burned oil using ultrahigh resolution Fourier transform ion cyclotron mass spectrometry (FTICR-MS).

Purpose:

Characterize the organic species partitioning from spilled oil to the water phase.

Data Parameters and Units:

Mass to Charge ratio of the identified compound (m/z, Daltons); Mono-isotopic intensity (unitless). The data folders are named according to the method of ionization - electrospray ionization (ESI), and atmospheric pressure photoionization (APPI).

Methods:

The dissolved organic matter was extracted from water using the method proposed by Dittmar et al. 2008 and analyzed with ultrahigh resolution FTICR-MS.
