Abstract:

Dataset includes oil content (% oil) and moisture content (% moisture) of a time series of oil/sand aggregates ("sand patties") collected in the Gulf of Mexico beaches 2011-04-03 to 2014-06-24.

Sampling Location: The location the sand patty sample was collected. Latitude (Decimal degrees). Longitude (Decimal degrees). Processing Lab: The laboratory that processed the sample. Fractional Oil Content: The mass fraction of oil in the sand patty sample (g oil per g sand patty sample). Fractional Moisture Content: The mass fraction of water (g water per g sand patty sample). Note: ND indicates "No Data".
