Abstract:

This dataset contains stop-flow excitation and emission spectra, and constant energy synchronous fluorescence (CESF) spectra for both individual reference standards (DBalP, N12eP, N23jF and N12kF) and combinations of reference standards (DBalP and N12eP, N23jF and N12kF). All high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) data were collected on an Ultimate 3000 Dionex HPLC system. Other related datasets are available under GRIIDC UDIs R5.x284.000:0021, R5.x284.000:0023, and R5.x284.000:0024.

Purpose:

This dataset is part of an experiment to investigate the feasibility of using CESF spectroscopy for the analysis of co-eluting polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) with identical chromatographic responses under normal and reversed-phase conditions.

Data Parameters and Units:

Wavelength (nm), retention time (min), Intensity (cps), DBalP- Dibenzo[a,l]pyrene, N12eP- Naphtho[1,2-e]pyrene, N12kF- Naphtho[1,2-k]fluoranthene. Correction note: In file "README.docx" figure 3 contains the duplicate information from figure 2. Instruments:

All spectra were recorded using an Ultimate 3000 Dionex HPLC that had a fluorescence detector.
