Abstract:

This dataset contains sets of ancillary data which are the retention times for the reverse phase liquid chromatography (RPLC) determination of molecular mass (MM) 302 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) isomers in normal phase liquid chromatography (NPLC) fractions, constant energy synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy (CESFS) wavelengths for the RPLC analysis of MM 302 PAH isomers, and mass fraction values of MM 302 PAH isomers in Standard Reference Material (SRM) 1597a. All high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) data were collected on an Ultimate 3000 Dionex HPLC system. Purpose:

This dataset is part of a study to investigate the feasibility of using CESFS for the analysis of co-eluting PAHs with identical chromatographic responses under normal and reversed-phase conditions.

Methods:

Triplicate retention time values used to calculate average retention times are included in the dataset. Wavelengths given for excitation, emission, and CESFS spectra represent the wavelength of maximum intensity recorded for each compound.

Instruments:

All spectra were recorded using an Ultimate 3000 Dionex HPLC that had a fluorescence detector.
