Abstract:

Excitation and fluorescence spectra were recorded at 77K with the aid of Fluoromax (Horiba Jobin Yvon) using a fiber optic probe and shpolskii solvents. Spectra are reported for 13 polycyclic aromatic sulfur heterocycles (PASHs) with molecular weight (MW) 234.

Phosphorescence spectra taken under these conditions are included for all of the above compounds with the exceptions of the Anthra group (A12T, A21T, A23T).
