Abstract:

This dataset includes Tabanid adult and larval abundance data collected from traps in coastal Louisiana. Data were collected from May to October 2016.

Purpose:

This data was collected to help assess the population of Tabanids in coastal Louisiana.

Data Parameters and Units:

Number of adults and larvae collected at different collection periods by site by location. Trap date (MM/DD/YYYY); Location (Geographic location name); Site (Internal sample site name); Latitude (Lat, decimal degrees); Longitude (decimal degrees); Time trapped (Start and end time trap was set for, HH:MM); # Nigro (number of Tabanus nigrovittatus captured); # Hinellus (# of Tabanus hinellus captured); Other (Other insects captured); Comments; Total time (Total time trap set, H:MM); Average flies (average number of flies captured per hour); Mean (top 3 counts); Standard deviation (S.d); Standard error (S.E.)
