Abstract:

The data set contains benthic fluxes of O2 (uM/hr), NO3 (uM/hr), and NH4 (uM/hr), and O2 (mmol/m2/d) consumption rates. The data was collected with support from NSF OCE 1014226 to GGW. The model (mph file, comsol version 4.4) contains the baseline model implementation (irrigation rate 1.6 mL/min). Purpose:

The purpose of this model are to investigate to what extent increasing burrow irrigation rates increase rates of nitrogen cycling and the extent to which changes in burrow depth alter the rates of nitrification and denitrification.
