The file "EN527_erosion.xlsx": Site (Station ID where sediment core was taken), core # (The number of core from one sampling event), event # (The number of the sampling event from the cruise; EN527), MUF (Methylumbelliferyl - the fluorescence tag of the substrates used to measure BG and Buty; MUF solution is used to calibrate the fluorescence signal, see 'calibration' tab), MUF factor (The slope of the regression line based on the concentration and fluorescence reading of MUF; see 'calibration' tab), MCA (Methylcoumarin - the fluorescence tag of the substrate used to measure Leu; MCA solution was used to calibrate the fluorescence signal, see 'calibration' ta), MCA factor (The slope of the regression line based on the concentration and fluorescence reading of MCA; see 'calibration' tab), SW control (sterilized bottom seawater used to control for abiotic degradation of the fluorescent labeled substrate), Slope (The slope of a regression line based on the time and fluorescence readings (FL), Rsq (The square of the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient), corrected slope (The slope corrected with the slope from SW control incubations; note that a negative value means 'no measurable activity', nM h-1 (Unit of hydrolysis in nanomol per liter (nM) per hour (h-1)), average (The sum of replicate hydrolysis rates divided by the total number of values supplied), StDev (The standard deviation of replicate hydrolysis rates).
