Abstract:

This dataset includes CTD data from two cruises aboard the B/O Justo Sierra in 2015. Data are in ACSII and RAW format.

Purpose:

The goal of this cruise was to characterize the distribution and fate of oiled sediment at sites on the continental shelf and slope of the Southern Gulf of Mexico with reference to the Ixtoc blowout (1979-1980).

Data Parameters and Units:

This dataset contains CTD data and core and water sample collection metadata. CTD data are organized by format in three sub directories -- (…\SGOM 2015 CTD_DATA\ASCII, RAW, and screendump). CTD files are named based on the station were the data were collected.
