Abstract:

Dataset contains measurements of the interfacial tension (IFT) between Louisiana Sweet Crude oil (LSC) and methane. Measurements included are averaged from three data points. Related density data can be found in GRIIDC dataset R4.x267.000:0012.

Purpose:

The experiments have been done to get information about the interaction of oil and methane as function of pressure and temperature. The interfacial tension is an important physical parameter to know as it is required for several theoretical determinations, simulations and the comparison of experimental data, e.g. rise velocities, with theory.
