Abstract:
A series of small-scale Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) surveys were conducted in the Louisiana Bight, northern Gulf of Mexico as part of CARTHE's SPLASH (Submesoscale Processes and Lagrangian Analysis on the SHelf) experiment from 2017-04-22 to 2017-04-27. The data was collected using a REMUS 100 AUV with a Sea-Bird Scientific SBE49 CTD, two Sea-Bird Scientific Environmental Characterization Optics (ECO) triplet pucks and an RDI Navigator 1200kHz ADCP. This dataset reports the ocean current velocity components, temperature, salinity, chlorophyll-a concentration, Colored Dissolved Organic Matter (CDOM) concentration, phycocyanin concentration, phycoerythrin concentration, turbidity, and scattering.
