Abstract:

A free-running version of ROMS, the Regional Ocean Modelling System, is implemented for a domain in the Gulf of Mexico where the LASER experiment took place. This 150m solution is used for characterizing submesoscale dynamics in the region as well as for Lagrangian particle advection.
