Abstract:
Four wave loggers were deployed at two marsh edge areas in Bay Jimmy, Louisiana from the period May to November 2016. Two wave loggers were deployed in each area (two at a site facing south, two at a site facing north) and measured water depth, wave height, wave period, and turbidity. Raw data as downloaded from each instrument are presented as well as processed files for each instrument (for a total of 8 files).

Data Parameters and Units:
Abbreviations and descriptions of the four raw data files are: BJNDraw_revised.txt: Bay Jimmy North Site (29.45686667, -89.88591667), sensor "Down" or underwater. BJNUraw_revised.txt: Bay Jimmy North Site (29.45698333, -89.88595), sensor "Up" or on the marsh surface. BJSUraw_revised.txt: Bay Jimmy South Site (29.44378333, -89.88573333), sensor "Up" or on the marsh surface. Data parameters are the same in all four of the raw files: time (YYYY/MM/DD hh:mm:ss.sss, CTZ), pressure (dbar), turbidity (NTU), sea pressure (dbar), depth (m) Abbreviations and descriptions of the four processed data files are: BJNDelb.txt: Bay Jimmy North Site (29.45686667, -89.88591667), sensor "Down" or underwater. BJNUelb.txt: Bay Jimmy North Site (29.45698333, -89.88595), sensor "Up" or on the marsh surface. BJSDelb.txt: Bay Jimmy South Site (29.44396667, -89.88578333), sensor "Down" or underwater. BJSUelb.txt: Bay Jimmy South Site (29.44378333, -89.88573333), sensor "Up" or on the marsh surface. Data parameters are the same in all four of the processed files: time (YYYY/MM/DD hh:mm:ss.sss, CTZ), water depth (m, corrected for atmosphere), significant wave height (Hs, m), peak wave period (Tp, s)
Methods:
Pressure, sea pressure, and depth data were all collected by the same pressure sensor; the instrument calculated the 3 different parameters using different formulas. Turbidity was measured optically.
