Abstract:

This dataset lists every aquatic and terrestrial invertebrate sample that was collected in 2014 for the resource use evaluation portion of the project within the Coastal Waters Consortium. Each sample has been assigned a DATABASE ID number, and all the information gathered at the time of collection is listed here. All tissue samples were frozen at -80 deg C so they could be accessed at a later date for fatty acid analysis (GRIIDC Dataset R4.x264.000:0069), amino acid stable isotope analysis (GRIIDC Dataset R4.x264.221:0001), and bulk stable isotope analysis (GRIIDC Dataset R4.x264.000:0070).

Purpose:

This dataset was developed to serve as a central location to list all invertebrate species samples collected for ecological tracer analysis in 2014 as part of the Coastal Waters Consortium. Multiple researchers are using subsets of these samples for different purposes and types of analyses. The results of those different types of analyses are included in separate datasets (GRIIDC Dataset R4.x264.000:0069, GRIIDC Dataset R4.x264.221:0001), and GRIIDC Dataset R4.x264.000:0070).
