Abstract:

Remote sensing reflectance (Rrs) data was collected at four stations in the vicinity of Mobile Bay on April 3rd, 2016 during the CONCORDE Spring cruise aboard the R/V Pelican. The data was collected using a surface floating radiometer known as HyperPro (Sea-Bird Satlantic) and processed using their manufacture software ProSoft (version 8.1.4).

Purpose:

This data provides information about the apparent optical properties of the water and it can be used to understand the bio-optical properties as well to validate satellite ocean color data.

Station name, Date (MM/DD/YYYY), Time (GMT), Latitude (dd), Longitude (dd), Wavelength (nm), Rrs (1/sr)

Methods:

The data was process using Sea-bird Satlantic ProSoft software version 8.1.4 and following the methods described in Ondrusek, M., et al., 2015. Report for: dedicated JPSS VIIRS Ocean color Calibration / Validation Cruise. NOAA Technical Report NESDIS 146. doi: 10.7289/V52B8W0Z. The data was collected using a Sea-bird Satlantic HyperPro on flotation mode.
