Abstract:

To evaluate the role of estrogen signaling on the effects of 2- and 6-OHCHR on zebrafish during embryogenesis, zebrafish embryos were exposed to 0.5-10 μM of 2- or 6-hydroxychrysene (OHCHR) from 2 hours post-fertilization (hpf) until 76 hpf. This dataset contains raw gene expression data, pericardial area, fluorescence, survival, and deformity data for zebrafish exposed to 2-OHCHR and 6-OHCHR.

Methods:

qPCR, abnormality analysis, O-diasidine stain area (erythrocyte staining), Fluoresence intensity Spinal Deformities- These are bent tails or curved body axis Cardiac deformities- Pericardial edema and looping defects Circulation deformities- Low or no red blood cell or hemorrhaging Eye Defects- eye discoloration and eye size Yolk Sac Edema- enlarged yolk sac Dead- The embryos were cloudy and had no heart beat The number of dead were counted every 24hrs initiated after treatment Survival was assessed from day1- day3 of the exposure time. Deformities are assessed at day3
