Abstract:

This data presents the percent of time temperature and salinity conditions were stressful to blue crabs at four Louisiana marshes in 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. The measurements of stress come from the Louisiana Coastwide Reference Monitoring System (CRMS) database.

Purpose:

To determine stressful conditions for blue crabs at four Louisiana marsh locations: Rockefeller Widlife Refuge, Freshwater City, LUMCON, and Grand Isle Marine Lab.

Data Parameters and Units:

Location, Month, Day, Year, Latitude (decimal degrees), Longitude (decimal degrees), Temperature stress (% of time), Salinity stress (% of time). Column headings are coded as X_Temp_XX or X_Salt_XX. The first number indicates the length of time stress was measured over (days). The second number indicates the value that denoted stress (Temperature in degrees Celsius and Salinity in psu), so measurements were then made as the percent of time conditions were above that value. The numbers are in % of time.
