Abstract:

This dataset reports the chemical analysis on megalopae sampled under GRIIDC dataset [R2.x214.000:0003], where we tested for presence of petroleum hydrocarbons in megalopae collected in 2010 in Galveston, Grand Isle, Ocean Springs, Dauphin Island, Pensacola, and Apalachicola. The dataset represents the relative concentrations of total hydrocarbons detected in megalopae at the different sites over 12 time periods.

Purpose:

This dataset was collected in response the the DWH oil spill and tested for presence and concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons.

Methods:

megalopae were dried, extracted with dichloromethane, and filtered prior to analysis.
