Abstract:

This dataset includes the results of laboratory experiments measuring the effects of oil exposure on gulf killifish (Fundulus grandis) embryos under different environmental conditions (dissolved oxygen, temperature and salinity). Specifically, the dataset includes data on survival and hatchability.

Purpose:

To better understand the combined effect of multiple abiotic stressors on fish survival.

ID = Refers to replicate number; Condition = Refers to the specific combination of Temperature-Salinity-Dissolved Oxygen tested; PAH Dilution = Refers to oil dilution; PAHDose = Refers to actual PAH concentration derived from fluorescent and LC/MS/MS data; Day = day in experiment; Fluorescence = value obtained with fluorometer; Hatch = number of embryos that hatched; Hatchperc = percentage of embryos that hatch; DO = actual dissolved oxygen in water (mg/L); DO2 = nominal dissolved oxygen in water (mg/l); N = number of embryos; Survival = number of embryos that survived; Survivalperc = percentage of embryos that survived; Mortality = number of embryos that died; Mortalityperc = percentage of embryos that died; Temperature = actual water temperature (Celcius); Temp = nominal water temperature (Celcius); Salinity = nominal water salinity (ppt); cyp1a = gene expression from whole larvae in relation to reference gene; cyp1c = gene expression from whole larvae in relation to reference gene.
