Abstract:

Hydroxyl radical reaction rates, molar absorptivity, direct photolysis rates, and overall photolysis rates were determined for Corexit compounds. Water characteristics were determined for Gulf of Mexico samples used in experiments. Purpose:

The purpose of this study was to determine the potential for the degradation of Corexit through sensitized photolysis in ocean water samples.
