Abstract:

This dataset reports Raman spectroscopy data for methane and aromatic ring compounds (pyridine, pyrrole). The data show that methane and aromatic ring compounds occupy small and large cavities of structure II hydrates. Micro-differential scanning calorimetry (Micro-DSCII, SETARAM) data is included that shows the role of aromatic compounds in the binary clathrate hydrate.

Purpose:

This data was collected to determine whether the existence of remaining basic aromatic ring compounds in chemical additives can affect the formation of gas hydrate in the presence of light gas.
