Abstract:
This dataset includes May 2013 field measurements that complement marsh sediment and water samples collected for characterization of microbial diversity in Louisiana marshes, a component of a longitudinal study. Water samples collected offshore from the marsh vegetation edge and sediment samples collected both inland and 1-2m offshore from the marsh vegetation edge are supported by meter data for parameters including water physicochemistry and weather measurements, as well as other field observations. Complementary bacterial community composition datasets from May 2013 marsh sediment samples are reported separately (R1.x139.143:0020).
