Abstract:

The dataset represent the area-averaged values of sea surface height (ssh), sea surface temperate (sst), and mixed-layer depth (mld) for a 4-dimensional non-intrusive spectral projection sample (NISP) and a 4 dimensional latin hypercube sample (LHS).

Purpose:

To develop a regional 3D Earth System Model that includes interfacial exchange processes between sediment, water, and atmosphere; biogeochemical processes, the transport of organisms, and the effects of petroleum hydrocarbons on all of these processes.

Data Parameters and Units:

Sea surface height, sea surface temperature, mixed layer depth The coordinates in the *_node.dat files refer to coordinate in parameter space and set the values of the uncertain parameters in the model. The four dimensions refer to the critical Richardson number, background viscosity and background diffusivity, and to the wind drag coefficient. The coordinates are given in standard space and are mapped linearly to their actual values as specified in the article describing the results.
