Abstract:

Data interpretation of the typical fingerprinting methodology. Both natural and simulated solar irradiation was used to investigate the photooxidation. Experiment was performed from May to August 2012. Purpose:

To assess the influence of oil and gas on water column and sediment biogeochemical processes and the distribution of substances that affect biological productivity.

[saturates, aromatics, and two more polar fractions (PI) and (PII)], [Pre-Spill, Day 7, Day 20, Day 70]: scan time (seconds) verses FID signal (mV). FT-IR spectra of Macondo Well (MW) oil: cm^-1 verses transmittance after 7 days irradiation, as presented in the insert of Fig. 1 (B).
