Abstract:

The Modular Instrument Lander and Equipment Toolsled (MILET) platform was used to survey sites during R/V Weatherbird II cruise WB-1305 from September 22-29, 2012. This dataset includes 10,248 images collected at benthic sites along with the cruise workbook for R/V Weatherbird cruise 1305.

Purpose:

To characterize sea floor geomorphology, bathymetry, sediment, and primary benthic habitats specific to the Gulf of Mexico with an emphasis on topographical features that influence deep sea to shelf connectivity.

Jpeg image files:File names correspond to the sampling site, line number, and the image number for that location (ex. PCB06ln1_0002.jpg was collected at site PCB-06, line number 1, picture number 2). WB2-1305_workbook_convert_xml.xlsm: Includes information about the cruise including sampling locations
