Abstract:

Data set includes georeferenced coral location and the corresponding bathymetry and 3D seismic data. These were combined into a model (code and output for Viosca Knoll sites VK826 and VK906 included here) to predict coral habitat suitability from remote sensing data.

Purpose:

To examine the niche of the coral Lophelia pertusa and to develop a model to predict new coral locations for exploration and research.

GIS bathymetry - (meters), relative scores for georeferenced 3D seismic data reinterpreted from the public BOEM database, Model code, and model output is also included. Latitude (decimal degrees); longitude (decimal degrees), modeled coral habitat suitability score (unitless)
