Abstract:

This dataset includes information on Sanger and pyrosequencing libraries of 16S rRNA genes collected from the Gulf of Mexico water column around the Deepwater Horizon site before, during and after the blowout. This dataset contains NCBI accession numbers.

Document the shift in the water column bacterial community from before Macondo Blowout, through the bacterial enrichments caused by the deepwater hydrocarbon plume and into the post-plume period in September and October 2010.
