Abstract:

Analysis of water and sediment samples collected during the R/V Pelican cruise PE13-31 in the Gulf of Mexico, June 12 - 15, 2013 at cold-seep sites. Measurements include the concentration of dissolved nutrients, dissolved organics, cations, anions and dissolved gases acquired from 4 CTD casts and 4 sediment cores.

Purpose:

The purpose of this dataset it to assess the impacts of the Deepwater Horizon blowout on sediment and water chemistry on fallout sites and compare these impacts to naturally occurring oil and gas seeps.
