Abstract:

MaxN counts of red snapper on artificial reefs off western Florida from 2018 and 2019. ROV was utilized to determine the maxN of red snapper per site. MaxN is the maximum number of fish counted in a single frame of the video.

Purpose:

To determine the number of red snapper on artificial reefs off western Florida.

Data Parameters and Units:

site: Site name, several samples taken from each site hab: Habitat type, AR= artificial reefs density: Max N of Red Snapper on site rsclass: Predictive random forest model output of the likelihood the location was a "good" habitat (1= low probability, 2= medium probability, 3= high probability; the break point for these are currently 56% and 86%)  region: two regions, 3= north 4=south depthc: depth category, 1= shallow (10-40m), 2= mid (41-100m), 3= deep (101-160m) lat/lon: Location of site in decimal degrees
