Abstract:
This dataset contains tagging locations and angler tag return data from conventional tagging of red snapper in the northern Gulf of Mexico. Tagging location includes information on date, tag number, fish size, latitude/longitude, depth, and habitat type. Angler return data includes information on date, tag number, depth, habitat type, latitude/longitude, fishery sector, fish fate (harvested/released). The data set includes parameter estimates and model predictions for spatially stratified estimates of abundance, tag loss rates, and tag recovery rates.
