Abstract:
Optical Observation for Oyster Larvae (O3L) was an optical oyster larval experiment with research sampling completed over two years during the spawning season of local oysters in Mississippi Sound. Samples were obtained from a University of Southern Mississippi skiff at seven stations off Pass Christian, Mississippi, from 2021-05-14 to 2022-10-27. The stations are timestamped and marked in decimal degrees. Data were collected and depth- and temporally-averaged with quality control per specifications of independent sensors. Sensors included: LISST-VSF, AC-S, CTD, DO Meter, ECO-FL3. Data parameters include dissolved oxygen, salinity, temperature, fluorescent dissolved organic matter (FDOM), oxygen saturation, chlorophyll, attenuation coefficient of multiple wavelengths of light, and absorption coefficient at multiple wavelengths of light.
