Abstract:

This dataset consists of biological data of sea turtles caught or stranded in Matagorda Bay from 2019-08-03 to 2021-07-31.

Purpose:

To collect sea turtles in order to assess their health and to attach acoustic or satellite tags for location data.

Methods:

A gill net was used to collect turtles. Scute and skin samples were taken from alive and dead turtles, and blood, muscle, and stomach content samples only taken from stranded turtles.
