Abstract:

This is a high-resolution (~ 3km) regional downscaled ocean model product for the Gulf of Mexico-Caribbean Sea region using the Regional-Community Earth System Model (R-CESM). The parent global model is CESM at ~10 km resolution, configured for the forced ocean sea-ice experiments (FOSI). Both models are forced with the 0.5deg resolution JRA-55-do reanalysis dataset. Fields include 3D ocean physical and dynamical fields.
