Abstract:

The Center for Public Issues Education in Agriculture and Natural Resources (PIE Center) conducted a final discussion with the advisory council in August 2023. The purpose of this in-person meeting was to provide the council with the final scenarios developed by the team and discuss additional scenarios that may be needed. The discussion also focused on the next steps and providing project results to relevant stakeholders

Purpose:

The purpose of the final meeting was to present final scenarios to the advisory council and obtain feedback and responses. We also wanted to learn from their suggestions on the next steps and how/where to distribute project results.

Methods:

Data was collected during an advisory committee meeting held August 18, 2023, at the UF/IFAS Nature Coast Biological Station in Cedar Key, Florida. Eleven council members were present in person; one committee member participated via Zoom. Committee members were divided into three groups to participate in a scenario development activity. The groups were instructed to complete a worksheet based on example scenarios provided by the project team. The goal of the activity was to identify additional scenarios and/or considerations to explore in the project models.
