Abstract:

CTD profiles were collected at six locations on the Pensacola Shelf on November 17, 2016. Depth, temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, chlorophyll fluorescence and colored dissolved organic matter (CDOM) fluorescence were measured.

Purpose:

The overall study goal was to examine the effects of artificial reefs. Vertical profiles were used to characterize the physical environment at study sites.

Methods:

Vertical profiles from the ship, CTD deployed by hand and slowly dropped through the water column.

Instruments:

Seabird 19Plus CTD with oxygen, WET Labs CDOM and WET Labs Eco-AFL/FL fluorometer sensors.
