Abstract:

Data contained herein are estimated density of reef fishes associated with artificial and natural reefs from the northeastern Gulf of Mexico. Density estimates were performed with a remotely operated vehicle with either transect or point-count methods. Units are individuals per 1000 m2.

Purpose:

Data collected will be used to interpret species assemblage and community structure on both artificial and natural reefs in the Gulf of Mexico.

Date (M/DD/YYYY), Site (reef site), Latitude (decimal degrees), Longitude (decimal degrees), Reef type (artificial, natural), Depth (meters), ROV survey method (transect, point-count), Species density (individuals per 1000 square meters).
