Abstract:

30 living shoreline sites across the project area will be monitored quarterly beginning in 2024 to determine effectiveness. Field monitoring includes quantifying the presence and density of marsh, submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV), and fish and bivalve species on and adjacent to the shoreline. To quantify marsh and SAV, we will quantify percent cover of species and shoot density in quadrats on and adjacent to the shoreline. Fish species will be quantified using seine nets and minnow traps.
